Media Release: Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission Launches new e-Services on WSCC Connect

9th Jan 2017

Yellowknife, NT (January 9, 2017) – Today, the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) announce the release of two new e-Services, added to WSCC Connect.

Report Payroll allows businesses to submit and revise their annual payroll reports online. There are two options to submit; Fast File, aimed at single-industry employers to report in one sitting; and Advanced Payroll Reporting, which provides a full range of payroll e-Services and allows users to save information before completing and submitting their reports.

Mine Permits, designed specifically for employers in the Mining sector, allows users to apply for, change, and cancel permit applications. The first permit under this e-Service is the Application to Operate a Diesel Engine Underground, with more permits releasing in the future.

WSCC Connect is quickly growing to become one of our stakeholders’ preferred methods of conducting business with us, and we’re pleased to continue to develop convenient access to improve the WSCC experience,” said Dave Grundy, President and CEO.

WSCC Connect launched in October 2015, to provide Northerners with fast, convenient access to WSCC services. These new e-Services join the existing ones: Make a Payment, View Assessment Rates, Request a Clearance, Register a Business, and Report Unsafe Work.

WSCC Connect is available in both English and French.
